Great Real Estate Agents is Australia's independent ranking of real estate agents, built from real sales and verified reviews. It is free for vendors, always.
Why we built it
Choosing a selling agent is a decision worth tens of thousands of dollars, and most people make it from a signboard and a neighbour's recommendation. The data to do better exists: who sold what, how fast, at what price, and what their vendors said afterwards. We put it on one page per suburb, rank agents on it, and publish the formula.
How we are paid
Some agents on the site are partners. A partner agent pays us a share of their selling commission if a vendor who met them here sells through them and the sale settles. The vendor pays nothing, the fee cannot be passed on, and it is disclosed on every partner card with the words "Partner: pays a referral fee on settlement". The fee has no effect on where any agent ranks. Agents who are not partners appear in the same list, ranked the same way, and most of the agents on the site have no relationship with us at all.
We have no sponsored placements and no advertising on ranking pages.
Independence
The ranking has no commercial inputs. Partner status, agency, claimed status and any payment are excluded by design, the formula is versioned, and every page build is kept so that a ranking on any past date can be reproduced. Agency principals can inspect the audit log for the suburbs their agents appear in. The full method is on the methodology page.
Great Real Estate Agents is operated by [entity name] (ABN [ABN]), a company in the KNIC Ventures group. Referral activity is conducted through a licensed real estate entity in each state as required by law. Related companies include a real estate agency; its agents are ranked by exactly the same formula as everyone else, with no agency-level inputs of any kind, and that is checked in code and in the audit log.
Launch
We launched in Brisbane and South East Queensland in February 2027, with agent and agency profiles nationwide and suburb rankings published wherever the data passes our quality gate. Proposal requests expand to other metros through 2027.
