Partners and referral relationships

This page lists every commercial and referral relationship that touches what you see on the site, and states for each whether money changes hands. It is updated whenever a relationship is added or changed.

Partner agents

Real estate agents who have agreed to pay us a referral fee, 20 per cent of their gross selling commission ex GST (15 per cent with a connected CRM), if a vendor who met them through this site sells through them and the sale settles. The agent pays; the vendor never does, and the fee cannot be passed on. Partner agents carry the label "Partner: pays a referral fee on settlement" on every card and profile. The fee is not an input to the ranking, and partner agents are ranked by the same formula as everyone else. Content partners (no money changes hands)

In our first year we have agreed content exchanges with the organisations below: they contribute a checklist or guide to this site, and we link to them from the relevant page. No fee is paid in either direction and no vendor information is shared.

Any mortgage broker relationship is subject to ASIC's rules on referrers; any future benefit would be disclosed in writing to the consumer at the point of referral. None exists in year one.

Removalist offers

Where a removalist offers a post-settlement discount to vendors who sold through the site, the offer is available to every vendor and is never tied to leaving a review. We receive no payment.

Related companies

Great Real Estate Agents is owned by KNIC Ventures. Related companies include a real estate agency. Agents from that agency are ranked by the published formula with no agency-level inputs of any kind, which is enforced in code and visible in the ranking audit log that any agency principal can request.

What we do not do

• Sell placement, "featured" or "sponsored" positions, or ranking consideration of any kind.
• Receive payment for links in guides.
• Share vendor details with anyone other than the agents the vendor selected and the service providers listed in our privacy policy.

Reporting

Each partner receives a monthly count of referrals from their link. We publish the number of partner agents and the number of content partners on this page.
